Ren Adams, the artist behind the ETSY shop Plastic Pumpkin Designs: http://plasticplumpkindesigns.etsy.com/ works in a variety of mediums: mixed media assemblages, pencil, acrylic, Chinese brush painting, watercolor, etc. Her work celebrates the fresh energies of the natural world as in the original Chinese brush painting above that depicts a branch from a Loquat tree, and the serene entities she visualizes through her practice of Taoism in which she paints as a meditative practice focused on developing compassion, simplicity and patience.
Ren has been making art her entire life. Some of her earliest memories are of scribbling in her baby book. Art is the practice that brings her into harmony with the world around her and allows her to express herself boldly. Ren describes her art as "a sensation, a sense of humor, a sense of elation, a tantalizing window... it's pure energy, pure thought, and pure darkness, and pure light."
The delights are many at Ren's shop. You will find many pieces of original art as well as prints with most work priced under $50. She invites commissions and ships worldwide and also donates 50% of the sale price of work labelled ETSY Pink to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer charity.
