George McKim is the award winning fine artist who shows and sells his work online at http://GeorgeMcKim.etsy.com. His work is exuberantly colorful, passionate, and intelligent, just the thing to enjoy on a snowy winters day like today.A case in point is "Vacation" the abstract collage heading this article, that is inspired by nature.
Raleigh, NC based, George did his postgraduate study at Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine, has had six solo exhibitions and is represented by six galleries. The galleries include, Kipton Art, New York, NY, Art Reach, Albuquerque, NM, Eric Schindler Gallery, Richmond, VA, Art Source Gallery and Lee Hansley Gallery, both of Raleigh, NC. The print above is a Linoleum block print of a sunflower, in 2 colors, the background is printed a solid light green and the image is printed a dark green. 11" x 15" paper size and the paper is acid free artists paper. George has other prints of this image in different colors on his site.
