Longwood Gardens is a horticultural treasure with outdoor gardens, an enormous conservatory and fountains in the Brandywine Valley. It was founded by Pierre du Pont heir to the DuPont industrial fortune who devoted his life to developing the Longwood property.At Christmas Longwood is a spectacular display of flowers, lights, lighted fountains and Christmas trees. My husband Bill and I visited last Saturday evening with his cousins, where he took this photo. I hope you enjoy it.
