"Elements" in her shop title refers to the shape, form, mass, line, texture, pattern, light, and color of a design. Her continuing interest in circles, spheres, disks, and symmetry is expressed throughout her designs.
Dawn is constantly learning new techniques, as well as perfecting traditional methods of metalworking and design. The chain maille earrings above are crafted of Argentium Sterling Silver, a modern sterling silver alloy which modifies the traditional sterling silver alloy (92.5% silver + 7.5% copper) by replacing some of the copper with a rare metallic element called germanium. This new alloy is highly tarnish resistant.
